James Cook University 2017 IT Design Sprints

The annual James Cook University 2017 IT Design Sprints at The Tanks in Cairns was held over 2 days last week, on the 12th and 13th of October. Angelo Senna of PROLIST was invited to judge and mentor students to develop innovative ideas surrounding water management for the Far North Queensland region.

Day, one kicked off with an awesome opening presentation by Richie Bates at Cairns Regional Council, attendance by Cr Brett Olds and delegates of Cairns Water & Waste who also assisted with mentoring and judging for the duration of the event.

Day two we came across some awesome ideas for improving water management and sustainability including innovative ways to recycle and monitor water usage. Congratulations to the winning teams and a massive thank you to JCU for making this event happen.
